Detail of the Left Window

Montemerano

This is a detail view of the left window. Many of the details are obscured in the original scene because of the distance and the angle of the light which places most of the window in shadow. The stain from seeping water was created from a mathematical function that combined some degree of randomness with regularity. The pealing paint was created by applying the same pattern design used to separate the wood from the paint pigments to a surface normal setting which gives the effect that the green paint is lifting off the wood at the edges.
